By obtaining approval for designated parking spaces and eliminating haphazard parking, the mayor has made positive changes in major areas like Darbar Marg and Baneshwor, ensuring pedestrian convenience.

Mayor Shah has also emphasized the renovation and preservation of historical water spouts (tukuchas) and promoting their natural appearance. His initiative to restore and maintain these structures has gained recognition and support.

Additionally, the mayor has made decisions to remove disorganized wires and billboards that mar the cityscape, aiming to improve the overall aesthetics of Kathmandu. He has also prohibited activities such as door and stall construction, sticker pasting, wall painting, pamphlet distribution, and banner placement without permission, to regulate advertising within the metropolitan area.

Mayor Shah has also sought improvements in the education sector. He has appointed knowledgeable individuals to address the lack of information within the staff and work towards making the city prosperous.
